Day 3 in Idaho

Today we said goodbye to Tam and Brian and then went to the Challis hot springs. It was fun but the water was really hot!

Later we went back to the cabin and enjoyed the evening. The kids did more gold panning! They really had gold fever!

Day 2 Idaho!

We took the tram across the Salmon river to do some sight seeing. Everyone but Jessi. She was still sick :( This is how we got back and forth to our cars each trip we took.

First stop was the Yankee Fork Gold dredge. Where Paul got a flat tire.

Next we visited Custer. It was an old mining ghost town. Everyone loved panning for gold! We have better pictures that Tam took somewhere. I will update when I get my pictures organized.

I think this was called "Sunbeam dam" am I right Paul and Lisa? Help me out.

That evening Todd and the kids took a dip in the hot springs.

EBR1

We stopped at EBR1, the first place to harness nuclear energy to power a light bulb.

Danger! Don't touch the buttons!

Then we saw the USS Hawkbill "The Devil boat" a nuclear powered submarine. Who would have thought we find it in Idaho!


Next we went to Craters of the Moon. We had a picnic and toured the area. The lava formations were really cool! Tyson and Hayden took off and didn't come back so we left them. It is ok though, the park rangers took them under their wings, made them junior park rangers, and let them pick up garbage. :)

We finally made it to the cabin! It was right on the river and it is awesome! Soon after Tamara and Brian came! We ate, laughed, ate, had skittle fights, ate, Paul saved Shonee from a baby tyransauas skeleton, ate and really enjoyed ourselves. Well everyone but Jessi, who got really sick! And that was only the first day!

Idaho here we come!

Picked up Jessi around midnight last night then headed to Idaho to Paul Page's cabin. We spent the night at Paul's mom's house! His mom is wonderful! So is her husband! Thanks! We had a ball! It was awesome! Thanks Paul and Lisa!

EFY - 2009

Tyson and Justin got to go to EFY this year. They loved it. They did make Tyson cut his hair to get in though! He came home with a missionary hair cut that day! Justin must have been guilted into it also because he came home with a missionary hair cut a few days later!
