Seminary Graduation

Tonight was seminary graduation. What a great accomplishment! Thanks to all the great teachers and leaders! Seminary was probably by far Jessi's favorite classes.

Pocahontas

Shonee had a biography fair today. She was Pocahontas. She had to study about her, write a 10 page report and then present to all the parents. They then had to guess who she was. I think she makes a great Pocahontas!

Mountain Crest Award Assembly

I went to Jessi's award assembley today. It was loooong! It took 3 hours! I think if anyone receives awards in the future in our family, I will give them a hug and take a picture at home! She was recognized for lettering in service (300 + hours) She actually had close to 700. She was also recognized for receiving the following scholarships.

Soccer Season! - The Player!

Brecken played soccer this year! He is quick and aggressive and quite a good player. He has a mean left foot! We are proud of him.

Intech Prom

Jessi's friend Morty's (Colten Mortenson) brother Ty goes to Intech. It is a collegic high school held at Utah State. They had their prom tonight. Ty's date didn't want to go unless someone else from Mountain Crest went with them, so Morty took Jessi. The theme was masquarade ball. Morty and Jessi can both really dance. They wanted to spend the night dancing uninhibited, so they didn't want to go in formals. For some reason they decided to go Emo. Morty is the nicest guy ever. You would never guess he could pull emo off, but he did. His mom died his hair black and he wore eyeliner, and black lip gloss. She put pink extensions in Jessi's hair and did it a little more wild. They had a ball at the dance. When they got there one of the chaperones decided to leave because she didn't want to deal with that type of student. The next day she told Ty she regretted leaving becasue she heard how well Jessi and Morty danced.

awesome 80's Last Chance Dance

Tyson and Jessi went to the last chance dance tonight. Tyson took Jessica Wiser. He asked her by writing on the back of a puzzle then putting the puzzle in a garbage bag of popcorn. The puzzle had the hulk on it. It said "It would be awesome if you would "pop" on over to the last chance dance with this hulk" She answered him by nesting 5 boxes inside of each other and stapling, hot gluing, and duct taping each one shut. It said "good luck hulk" on the front. In the last box was a note and a can of nuts that said "I would be nuts if I didn't say yes".
Jessi went with Cameron Cox. He asked her with a rose. She answered him by dressing up in Tyson's gorilla costume and going in to his class room and handing him a monster drink. The not said "This Monster would love to go to the dance with you so lets dance" Then she grabbed him and started dancing. I think they all looked great in their 80's clothes.

Senior Pictures

Many of you know that we have many photographer friends we spend time with each year at Beaver Creek Lodge. We joked last November about not being able to pick over the others to do Jessi's senior pictures. Well, that was the last we thought of it. Fast forward to a week ago. I realized that Jessi was graduating soon and we didn't even have announcements. We didn't want to buy the ones from the school. We called Steve and he worked us in. He did an awesome job. He took a lot of pics and then let Jessi pick pictures she liked and put them in an announcement for her. He spent a lot of time that night. Of course he did an awesome job. He really captured her personality. We really appreciate it! Thank you so much Steve!
